Expect a 50-minute relaxing appointment: consultation, thorough cleanse, dermaplaning exfoliation, about five minutes of extractions, a customized mask, followed by serum, moisturizer and sunscreen. We'll review aftercare and product recommendations before you go.
Yes. You may substitute microdermabrasion for dermaplaning for an additional $35. Microdermabrasion uses abrasive exfoliation and suction to improve texture and congestion; dermaplaning removes dead skin and peach fuzz. We'll recommend the best option in your consultation.
Certain conditions can rule out dermaplaning: active inflammatory acne, open sores, recent isotretinoin use, recent chemical peels, severe rosacea flare-ups or sunburn. Always disclose medications and recent treatments so our esthetician can advise and ensure your safety.
