How the treatment works
Crystal microdermabrasion uses a high‑velocity stream of fine abrasive crystals and vacuum suction to mechanically buff the skin's outer layer. At The Healthy Glow Studio we perform clinical‑grade resurfacing that reaches deeper than dermaplaning, dislodging compacted dead cells and surface debris to reveal fresher skin beneath without chemical peels or injections.
This is a superficial exfoliation designed for thick or resilient skin types: the abrasive stream smooths texture while the vacuum clears loosened material. Clients often notice an immediate smoothing effect, and because the outer barrier is refreshed, topical skincare absorbs more readily. The treatment can reduce visible roughness and may lessen pigmentation and fine lines over time.
Who it’s suitable for
Crystal microdermabrasion is appropriate for most skin types, including thicker, sun‑exposed or resilient complexions common among outdoor lake‑recreation lifestyles here. It is not recommended for actively inflamed acne; active inflammation needs different medical attention. Your clinician will assess skin condition during consultation and advise suitability.
Because Mascotte and surrounding communities like Clermont and Montverde experience humid subtropical conditions, clients sometimes come in with clogged or thicker surface skin from heat and outdoor activity. Clinical crystal resurfacing can address that surface congestion, but minor sensitivity and redness after treatment are normal and part of superficial exfoliation recovery.
What to expect after
Immediately after treatment expect smoother, brighter‑looking skin and improved absorption of serums and moisturizers. Because the procedure is a mechanical, superficial exfoliation, most effects are visible right away; changes in pigmentation or fine lines develop with repeat sessions and consistent skincare, not as an instant guarantee.
Transient redness, slight tenderness, or flaking can occur and typically resolve without intervention. Avoid aggressive active ingredients and direct sun exposure while the surface layer heals; daily sunscreen is important in our region's bright, humid climate. If you have inflamed acne, the service is not suitable until inflammation subsides.
