Get answers to common questions about 13%, 20% or 30% TCA face & body peel.
All skin types must be prepped for two to four weeks with our pre-peel kit (sold separately). Prepping reduces risk, evens skin response, and primes tissue. Disclose medications, recent treatments, and follow clinician instructions.
Expect redness, tightness and flaking beginning three to fourteen days after application. Superficial layers resolve sooner; medium-to-deep peels can crust and peel over several days, producing roughly five to fourteen days of visible downtime.
TCA peels can be used on darker complexions but carry higher pigmentation risk. Proper skin preparation, conservative layering, and experienced providers are essential. We assess each case, patch-test when necessary, and recommend alternative treatments for very sensitive or high-risk skin tones.
Layers range one to five per session; sessions spaced two to seven weeks apart depending on skin tolerance and condition. Shallow concerns may need one to two treatments; deeper scars and pigmentation often require multiple layered sessions for progressive improvement.
We perform body peels on arms, hands, legs, thighs, back, abdomen, feet and underarms. Treatment suitability and pricing depend on area size, peel concentration and number of layers. An in-clinic consult determines the most effective approach for each body site.
Strict sun avoidance and daily broad-spectrum SPF are critical. Use prescribed post-peel moisturizers, gentle cleansers and barrier creams; avoid exfoliants, retinoids and heat until cleared. Attend follow-up visits so clinicians can monitor healing and advise when to resume active skincare.
