How TCA peels work
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) in a non-buffered 10%–30% formulation produces controlled chemical exfoliation that removes damaged outer skin layers. Depth is determined by concentration and the number of layers (one to five), so your clinician tailors strength and layering to balance visible improvement with recovery time.
Sessions are spaced every two to seven weeks depending on skin sensitivity, condition and peel concentration; visible peeling commonly begins three to fourteen days after application. Because this is a medium-to-deeper peel range, careful selection and staging reduce risk and help manage the expected recovery process.
Treatment planning and timing

Recovery varies by depth: visible flaking or peeling typically starts three to fourteen days and continues as new skin settles.
